I am an ambitious, creative and dependable student. I have recently completed the final year of my undergraduate degree in Fine Art and English Literature at Aberystwyth University. Currently, I am employed at Marks and Spencer (2/7/19-present) as a Warehouse Operative and Customer Assistant. Following my undergraduate degree, I am pursuing a Masters in Fine Art. I am consistently enthusiastic about my work and like to challenge myself mentally as well as physically. Being a keen runner, this May I ran the Race For Life 10K and raised over £200 pounds for Cancer Research. I always strive to be an efficient, friendly and knowledgable team-player in order to achieve success.

Artist’s Statement

In my latest work, I strive to paint the stark, sublime beauty of the Welsh landscape in a way in which that I feel portrays its nature authentically and analytically; exploring the duality of its ruthlessness as well as its fragility through light and shadow monochromatically. I paint from a theoretical perspective, whilst at the same time expressing my passion for the environment. In my naked portrayal of nature, I aim to demonstrate how intrinsically connected we are to our landscape, and how it can be a place that seems so unapologetically uncanny, isolating, as well as a place that we call home. Finally, I hope that my latest work shows my ability to discipline myself and showcase my attention to detail; I adore my practice and hope to refine my abilities further in my upcoming master’s course.
