We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Adichie’s ‘We Should All Be Feminists’ is a non-fiction essay of a TEDx Talk from 2012. You can watch it on YouTube via this link. It’s a very short, enlightening and interesting read. It provides a different cultural perspective without being completely humourless.

If you’re interested in a quick feminist read this is the one for you! Much like Everyday Sexism by Laura Bates (Non-Fiction) and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (Fiction) in that everyone will learn something by reading it. It may not be the most mind-blowing text that you’ll ever read but it certainly gives the reader more perspective of the world we live in. I read this book in under an hour since it’s like listening to someone talking like it’s original discourse, a lecture essentially – and a really good one at that.
